It is my pleasure to welcome you to this site, an invaluable resource as you learn about TCU’s unique position in private higher education.

TCU, a major teaching and research institution founded by brothers Addison and Randolph Clark , provides faculty, staff and students with rich opportunities to excel both on and off campus. In addition to the exciting research and creative activity conducted by faculty and students, the University also enjoys close connections to the cities of Fort Worth , Arlington and Dallas. The University’s 260-plus acres sit just four miles southwest of downtown Fort Worth and our 8,600 students enjoy wide-open green spaces, technologically advanced facilities, exemplary living and recreational activities.

As Chancellor, one of my goals is to maintain a visible presence on campus and in the community. In addition to being invited to student dinners, walking around campus and teaching a class in our fantastic school of education, I also interact with faculty, staff, students, parents and other TCU family members at Convocation, Family Weekend and Commencement. The University’s partnerships with the community are truly transformational, including a recent agreement to partner with the city, a private development company and a local neighborhood association to reenergize a community located just to the south of TCU. Additionally, TCU’s faculty, staff and students volunteered approximately 25,000 hours of recorded community service last year.

TCU also has a dedicated corps of volunteers who serve the institution, including our board of trustees, who continue to lay plans to make TCU an even stronger institution.
